Barnardo’s Store Wars
When Saturday 25 June
Store Wars is an incredibly exciting team challenge where teams of six to ten
pupils will take over a Barnardo’s store for a day and compete with another
team to increase sales by as much as possible.
How does it work?
Well, it’s simple. Teams of six to ten
people from an organisation get the rare
treat of taking over one of our stores for
a day! Teammates have to work
together, using their creative and
entrepreneurial skills to increase takings
as much as possible! The winning team
is the one that raises the most, after the
store’s average takings for the day are
deducted from the total.
The sky really is the limit in a Store Wars
competition. Past teams have opted to
hold themed days at their branch,
special events such as raffles and
tombolas, live music, and some even
posed in the windows as mannequins

Store Wars offers teams the opportunity
to build a profile and network within
their local community. It also promotes
team building and the development of a
whole range of business skills, not to
mention that you can have a great time
whilst also raising money for Barnardo’s!

Taking on the Store Wars challenge
substantially increases funds for
Barnardo’s. This directly supports local
Barnardo’s services, helping to
transform the lives of even more
vulnerable children and young people.
Schools are invited to submit their Store
Wars plans to firstname.lastname@example.org. The
competition is open to students in year
8 and above. BSA and Barnardo’s will
select two teams to take part in the
Store Wars final at a venue to be
confirmed on Saturday 25 June.
