An opportunity has arisen for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and flexible candidate to join our highly respected and successful school as a Year 4 Class Teacher. This is maternity cover role starting in January 2023.

We are looking for a suitably qualified Year 4 Class Teacher able to offer teaching in English, Mathematics and the Humanities; the ability to offer French or Spanish could be an advantage.

During this time, you will play an important role in our teaching team and will benefit from relevant continued professional development opportunities.

The successful candidate will:

  • have the ability to problem-solve and manage classroom behaviour effectively

  • work collaboratively with colleagues

The ability to also coach games, as well as contribute to our exciting extra-curricular provision, would be an advantage.

The post is suitable for experienced teachers as well as those new to the profession.

The successful candidate’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom they are responsible, or with whom they come into contact, will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the school’s Child Protection Policy Statement at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the post the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risk to the safety or welfare of children in the school they must report to the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and to the Head.
