Nurses' CPD- Assessment and diagnostics for minor illness

Why you should attend: This course will give nurses valuable basic information on diagnostic skills. This course is specifically for Nurses in boarding schools and will be run by a boarding school medical officer.
- Identify the types of conditions presented by pupils that cause you particular concern in terms of diagnosis and treatment.
- Evaluate your own competencies and learning needs in assessing/diagnosing pupils’ conditions. What referral systems are available to you?

Becky has been a GP partner in Bucks since 1996 training first in London (Guy’s Hospital Medical School) then Sheffield (GP VTS Scheme) In 2000 she moved to North End Surgery in Buckingham where she also worked as the Assistant MO at Stowe School until 2005 when she took over the MO role from her senior partner.Becky became the Honorary Secretary of MOSA in 2011 and is determined to ensure MOSA remains a relevant source of support and education to its members as well as a respected voice of opinion about adolescent healthcare, particularly in education to the outside world. Becky has had a number of other roles in local primary care including GP Diabetes lead for the PCT and the North locality commissioning lead for Aylesbury Vale CCG. As well as Diabetes and Adolescent Health, Becky is interested in all aspects of primary healthcare and enjoys her job immensely.
