Why you should attend: This seminar will provide an opportunity to review and prepare for a Boarding Inspection. It will consider Boarding Inspection, Self-Evaluation and Evidence gathering as well as lessons learned from recent Inspections.

Dale Wilkins, Deputy Head, Old Swinford Hospital
Dale Wilkins is Deputy Head at Old Swinford Hospital, a State Boarding School in the West Midlands. He has been at the school for 23 years, previously being Housemaster of a senior boys’ House, then a junior boys’ House and then Director of Boarding. With his wife, he previously ran a junior girls’ House for two years at Tettenhall College. He has been a course tutor for the BSA professional development courses for the past seventeen years, and produced the inspection “Self-Assessment Toolkit” for the BSA, further updating it in the summer of 2015. He was a Boarding Schools’ Additional Inspector for Ofsted, having worked previously under NCSC and CSCI.
Sue Duff, Trainer
Sue has worked in boarding in IAPS, GSA and HMC schools. She was Housemistress and Head of Boarding at Headington Girls School in Oxford before moving to Bradfield College to set up full co-education within the school and open the first girls boarding house ten years ago. Sue was Senior Housemistress and she was on the Senior Leadership Team at Bradfield with her main specialism being overall boarding management, before she began focussing on other areas since September 2015. Sue has first-hand experience of the current ISI process within independent schools.'
