A man in a girls’ world - A workshop for men working in girls’ boarding
Date: November 07, 2017
Why you should attend? It is increasingly common for male staff to be working in a pastoral or boarding role within a Boarding House, which is predominately female in composition. Such an arrangement can come with additional and often unforeseen challenges. This workshop will explore gender differences, current common behaviours, and the pastoral and boarding management implications for those staff charged with supporting female students/boarders.
- Identifying the key gender differences and the pastoral implications
- An evaluation of current issues, risks and behaviours
- Meeting the many challenges – a practical session exploring best practice.
