Why should you attend?
The speaker will discuss how to detect students with an eating disorder based on presentation, appearance, attitude and behaviour. She will highlight your role as professionals working within boarding schools, with its own additional challenges and consider appropriate interventions, including key referral processes and parents/guardians involvement.
The seminar will cover aspects you need to be mindful of when dealing with students who may have or as susceptible to eating disorders, including:

- Side effects
- Maintaining factors
Speaker: Vathani Navasothy, Eating disorder specialist, Author and Trainer
Vathani, with her 27 years of experience is a featured speaker at the BSA, trainer and workshop facilitator at conferences and live events on eating disorders and body image topics; including secondary schools within the PSHE and sports curriculum.
She is an author of CBT Self-Help book, who specialises in all areas of eating disorder treatment and a high-profile Webinar Trainer, broadcasting via the internet throughout the UK and internationally.
Member and trainer and the National Centre for Eating Disorders, member of BACP; some of her previous partners include the British Olympic Medical team, and Optimus Education and currently organisations such as the LEA, private coaching sectors, RCN and NHS.
