This seminar will give participants a comprehensive understanding of how to prepare for the boarding element of both Regulatory Compliance inspections and the Focused Compliance element of the Educational Quality with Focused Compliance inspection. The training is delivered by experienced boarding practitioners who have also worked as boarding inspectors.
The objective of this day seminar is to help you prepare for next inspection, bring you up to date with latest practice and guidance and help you improve your self-evaluation with the view to using self-evaluation as an ongoing tool.

Speaker: Dale Wilkins, BSA Director of Safeguarding and Standards & Sue Duff
Dale joined the BSA during Summer 2017. After boarding positions at Norwich School and Tettenhall College, Dale became a Housemaster at Old Swinford Hospital in 1992, and was promoted to Deputy Head in 2007, and subsequently also DSL. He has also been a multi-agency trainer for the Dudley Safeguarding Children’s Board and has been closely involved in inspection in state and independent boarding since 2002.
Dale has been a BSA course tutor since 1998 and developed the BSA Self-Assessment Toolkit. Dale leads on all safeguarding and inspection matters for the BSA, including managing the BSA Commitment to Care Charter, annual Safeguarding Conference, leads the Safeguarding Forum and all related training matters.
