Bromsgrove Prep School pupil Freddie Slater crowned Junior Champion
20th August 2019

Congratulations to Bromsgrove Prep School pupil Freddie Slater who has been crowned Junior Champion at the SKUSA ProTour SuperKart Championships (Junior X30 US – age 12-16) in Indianapolis. At the age of ten, the talented young driver had been racing in a category for older children under a waiver and turned eleven in the final round. The trophies are due to be presented in Las Vegas.

This follows Freddie’s success at the Winter Cup Championships where he won the European Mini X30 (age 9-12).

Next stop for Freddie is France for his final race in the European Mini X30 Championships, which he is currently leading. To be USA and European Champion in the same year would be pretty special.

Following his success in America last week, Freddie commented “I enjoyed the challenge of racing the more powerful karts on the very different American circuits and I’m proud to be able to run Number 1 on my kart for future races in the USA.”
