GCSE results – Bromsgrove School’s best ever

Bromsgrove School is delighted to announce its best ever GCSE and IGCSE results, following on from its best ever IB results and outstanding A level results.

165 pupils sat 1594 GCSE and IGCSE examinations with a number of pupils also taking AS levels and the Extended Project. In the core subjects of English, Mathematics and the Sciences, all pupils sat the more challenging IGCSE. Overall, 34.4% of all grades were at A*, 64% at A*/A with 88% at A* to B. Straight A*s in eleven subjects were achieved by local pupils Karan Gour, Alice Vaughan, Niall Simmons and Joseph Morrice. In Physics, Biology, French, Latin, Design and Art more than 80% of candidates gained an A* or A grade.

Peter Ruben, Second Deputy Head, Academic, said, “We are all thrilled with these superb results and our pupils and teachers should be very proud. This cohort of pupils have set themselves high standards and a very good base for success at A level, IB and beyond”.
