A COLWYN Bay school will host a Christmas Carol Service in aid of a national maritime charity next month.
The event will take place on Thursday December 10 at St John’s Church with all proceeds going towards the RNLI.
Rev’d Nick Sissons, chaplain at Rydal Penrhos will lead the service, and the school’s choir will be on hand to sing a variety of festive hymns.
The school has close links with the RNLI due to its strong sailing programme, and anyone is welcome to attend.
Admission is free but there will be a retiring collection in aid of the RNLI, who have a number of stations situated along the North Wales coastline.
Rev’d Sissons, said: “It is a relatively rare event in that it is an open public service in St John’s church for the whole community.
“The school choir and I will lead the worship and it will have a very traditional feel with candlelit procession and the church decorated in preparation for Christmas.
“We hope to see as many people as possible at the service to raise as much money for the RNLI, who provide a fantastic and essential service along our shores.”
The service will begin at 7pm and for more information call 01492 531298.
