Millfield Prep boarders raise over £3800 for the Lewis Moody Foundation
27th January 2016

There was great excitement at Millfield Prep as former England Rugby Captain Lewis Moody visited the school to thank the pupils for their fundraising efforts.

In the Autumn Term the Millfield Prep boarders were sponsored to do over 450 man hours of sport in one day to raise money for The Lewis Moody Foundation, which supports The Brain Tumour Charity.

The pupils raised £3,872, 154% of their original target, which put them in the top 1% of pages on the JustGiving site in 2015.

Isla Niddrie, 12, won the prize for collecting the most sponsors and received one of Lewis’s old training tops signed by the man himself. He also presented each boarding house with a signed England shirt as a memento.

Lewis spent lots of time talking with the children, passionately telling them all about the cause they are helping and explaining the Foundation’s work to support families with very poorly children.
