Preparatory School pupils were honoured at a special event to bring the curtain down on the academic year.
The young Rydal Penrhos pupils descended on the Memorial Hall on Friday, July 8, where they were joined by staff and family for the school’s annual Speech Day.
Achievements across all age groups were recognised in what has been another memorable year at the Prep School, with governor and first ever female sixth former at Rydal Ann Watson special guest at the event.
All pupils from Years 3-6 were given a certificate for their incredible efforts of the course of the year, with individual awards given out to those who have stood out in a specific field.
A special mention was given to the Year 6 group, who were all remembered fondly by head Roger McDuff thanks with anecdotes from their time at the school.
Head Boy Josh Stewart and Head Girl Alys Peake-Jones also gave impressive speeches to conclude the ceremony, and there were musical performances to enjoy from pre-prep and prep pupils, in addition to a solo from Ethan Bytheway.
Mr McDuff, said: “It has been another exceptional year for our Prep School pupils, who continue to amaze us with their dedication and commitment.
“This Year 6 group truly are a wonderful bunch, and we look forward to welcoming many of them to the senior school next year and seeing them continue to flourish.
“I would like to thank all parents and staff for their continued support this year and wish them a very happy summer break.”
