A group of musicians at Rydal Penrhos have been thanked for their contribution to a Llandudno charity event

The school’s Jazz Band took part in a special Harvest Concert, which was held at St David’s Church in Craig-y-Don on Saturday, October 1.
Event organisers Jack and Emma Waddington wrote an email to director of music Pete Williams thanking the group for their efforts, and praised them on their performance.

It said:

“On behalf of all who attended the concert, we wanted to say a big and sincere thank you to you and the band and soloists for the time and effort you must have put in to give us such an excellent concert.

“You truly have some talented youngsters and more than one person said that it was good to see them so obviously enjoying themselves as they played/sang for us.”

The concert raised £667 in total, which will go towards a chicken project at a Tanzanian church in Mafinga.
This will enable them to buy more than 200 chickens, which is about two-thirds of what they need to really get the project off the ground and start giving employment to their young people.

Mr Williams, added:

“It was a great event to be a part of and the Jazz Band had some really positive feedback from their performance.”
