A group of rugby stars at Rydal Penrhos dropped off a special donation to a Colwyn Bay supermarket ahead of their tour of Portugal.
The senior side visited Lidl on Wednesday, October 19, where they dropped off a wide range of food items for the store’s harvest food drive before heading off on their three-game tour in the Mediterranean.
This is the latest in a number of charity initiatives by the school in recent months, with staff and pupils donating a significant amount to the Conwy Food Bank and Action for Children from their own food drive.
Pupils also dressed up as part of Water Aid Day, and wore yellow in support of World Mental Health Day, with proceeds going to Young Minds UK.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “We have a long history of charitable efforts here at Rydal Penrhos, and our senior rugby players were only too happy to help what we consider to be a very worthy cause.”
The pupils enjoyed success on their travels, gaining two wins out of three contests.
