Strathallan girl’s hockey team reached the final of the U18 girls Indoor National Hockey Finals for the second year in a row.
Six teams from all over Scotland qualified for the National finals at the Bells Sports Centre and produced some exciting and competitive hockey. As defending champions the Strathallan girls were tenacious in their bid to make it to the finals and having won their pool in the morning they went on to meet Midland rivals Kilgraston in the semi-finals which they won 4-0 before facing Craigholme in the final.
Director of Sport, Audrey Sime commented, ‘I am very proud of all the girls and we should not underestimate what the girls have accomplished over the last couple of years, national champions last year and runners up this year, it is a great achievement.
Head of PE, Stephen Dick added, ‘There is always a bit more pressure going into a tournament as defending champions but the team remained calm and focused and produced some inspiring hockey as a team, which is very rewarding as a coach.’
