Cranleigh Prep host Harry Potter Book Night
1st February 2018

Lower School pupils joined together last night for an evening of fun, games and magic to celebrate the beloved series of books by J. K. Rowling.

Children arrived in their best wizarding dress for refreshments, games, activities and literature-based fun throughout the night.

Our evening started with the sorting hat to place pupils into the Hogwart’s Houses.  We then split into groups to make putrid potions, wizardry word searches, wacky wands and oversensitive owls.  We also feasted on creamy cupcakes and sticky squash.

The Harry Potter Book Night is a national event, where children throughout the country (and indeed the world) celebrate this wonderful series.  It is an occasion for us to pass the magic of Harry Potter to young readers who haven’t yet discovered these unforgettable books.  Judging by the happy faces leaving school last night, we are sure that the Harry Potter magic will continue to enthral this next generation of readers.
