Who did you meet at school today? At Felsted Prep School Year 1 pupils met a life size Tyrannosaurus Rex, making a roaring start to their topic on dinosaurs. Joe and Sam who created ‘Teach Rex’, the company behind this magical experience, taught the children interesting scientific dinosaur facts, whilst Jam the T-Rex interacted with the children and teachers.
The young Felstedians also had the opportunity to be involved in individual class workshops, using ‘green screen’ technology to superimpose themselves into a Jurassic landscape where they were chased by a dinosaur! The resulting video clip ignited the children’s imagination and inspired their creative writing, whilst developing vocabulary and knowledge of connectives as they described the dinosaur experience.
