This year, Queen Anne’s School is proudly celebrating its 130th birthday, marking over a century of educational excellence and cherished traditions.

This year, Queen Anne’s School in Caversham is proudly celebrating its 130th birthday, marking over a century of educational excellence and cherished traditions. To commemorate this milestone, we hosted a vibrant week of events, aligning with BSA’s National Boarding Week, which highlighted our thriving boarding community.

Throughout National Boarding Week, each day brought a unique theme and exciting activities. We celebrated ‘Get Outdoors for Summer Solstice’ by enjoying the sunshine on the longest day of the year and capturing a memorable photo of our boarders spelling out “QAS 130” on the field. This picture perfectly encapsulated the spirit and unity of our school community.

The boarders also engaged in a variety of fun-filled activities. They competed in an exhilarating game of Capture the Flag, participated in a house step challenge, and tested their knowledge with a lively quiz. The junior boarders in Michell House particularly enjoyed their end-of-year house party, featuring outdoor games, a photo wall, and an array of delicious snacks.

Queen Anne’s School takes immense pride in its vibrant boarding community, where full boarders, flexi boarders, and day girls come together to form lasting friendships and create cherished memories. These events and trips enrich the lives of our students, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

As we reflect on our remarkable 130-year journey, we are filled with gratitude for every chapter, every triumph, and every cherished memory. Happy 130th Birthday, Queen Anne’s School! Here’s to many more years of tradition, excellence, and commitment to girls’ education.
