The King’s School, Canterbury and Vattanac Properties are delighted to announce Eleanor Prescott as the Founding Principal of The King’s School, Vattanacville – Cambodia from July 2022
The King’s School, Vattanacville will open a junior school close to the capital city of Phnom Penh in September 2023, offering an exemplary British-style education whilst embracing Cambodian culture and a blended English and international curriculum and pedagogy. A senior school will open on the same site by 2025, with boarding facilities for local and international pupils.
Eleanor has been an outstanding Principal of Wellington College International Shanghai for the past seven years and with Wellington College and Wellington College China for 11 years. As an integral part of the set-up team for Wellington Shanghai in 2014, during her tenure the school grew from 276 pupils in 2014 to over 1500 today and is now recognised as one of the leading schools in the region.
Eleanor will bring a passion for life-long learning to the role, she holds an MA in Economics and Politics from the University of Edinburgh and is currently undertaking a doctorate in Education at the University of Bath. She is also particularly engaged in learning languages, and is excited to add Khmer to Chinese, French, Spanish and German.
Eleanor commented on her appointment:

A passion for continuing to develop international understanding and global citizenship is something that my new base in Phnom Penh will give much opportunity for.”
The King’s School, Vattancville will offer a progressive and creative setting to learn, following The King’s School, Canterbury’s excellence in co-curricular development. Facilities will include a state-of-the-art auditorium, a swimming pool, climbing wall and indoor and outdoor sports courts.
