Course outline:
This training package comprises of 12 webinars on a variety of medical topics, the purpose of which is to provide updates on medical conditions and refresh skills. This box set is suitable for all organisations who wish to further their knowledge with a view to supporting their employees within the work environment. It is also aimed at supporting school nurses with their training and development needs; helping them to raise the standards of care provided in schools, this could count as CPD as part of their revalidation. Webinars will be recorded so if you cannot attend the day or have missed any of the box set, they can be available for you to view when convenient.
This training is available to purchase as a single webinar or part of the Hieda box set series.

The purpose of this webinar on sleep hygiene is to understand the importance of healthy sleep habits. It will consider strategies to improve sleep habits. Sleep is often neglected, and a lack of it causes, or worsens, many aspects of physical and mental health.

Melissa Clinton MCSP, BSc Hons, MSc, Head of Wellbeing and Physiotherapy at Canford School
Melissa’s career background was 15 years as a Physiotherapist. Melissa had wonderful years working in elite sport with teams such as Harlequins and the England Women’s Rugby Team, as well as working at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust as Clinical Lead for Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy services. Melissa began lecturing on the BSC Hons and MSc degrees in Physiotherapy at Kings College London. After relocating to Dorset, Melissa started working at Canford School, setting up the physiotherapy service, tutoring in a girls Boarding House and teaching PSHE. Melissa has been at Canford 10 years. 3 years ago, Melissa was successful in being appointed as Head of Wellbeing. As part of this role, Melissa qualified as a Sleep Practitioner and began the drive to improve sleep health. Melissa’s passion for educating and empowering people drives her work, looking at holistic and preventative approaches underpinning the wellbeing work they do.
