About our School

Cobham Hall is a Day and Boarding School for girls aged 11 to 16, and for girls and boys in the Sixth Form (ages 16 to 18).  Housed in a beautiful 16th century manor house in 150 acres of historic parkland near Rochester, Kent, the School enjoys exceptional transport links and is less than 30 minutes from London by train. Cobham Hall offers a range of flexi-boarding options as well as day, full and weekly boarding, providing flexibility for family life.

At Cobham Hall, personal and academic success, health, wellbeing, and community go hand-in-hand. Our innovative, skills-based curriculum is designed specifically to develop the crucial life skills young people will need in our rapidly changing world: skills in complex problem-solving, project and time management, critical thinking and creativity; resilience, communication, determination, teamwork and compassion. Key skills lessons are timetabled throughout, culminating in our Global Perspectives GCSE course and the Extended Project Qualification.

School Motto

We believe untold brilliance lies within each of our students, and that each has the potential to develop skills and abilities they may never have believed possible. Our school motto, ‘There’s more in you than you think,’ underlines this. We are committed to providing our students with the academic knowledge to flourish, and to inspiring each student to have the courage to challenge themselves and find their own path in life.

Happy young people learn, and we place student wellbeing at the heart of everything we do, ensuring our core values of Trust, Respect, Honesty, Kindness and Tolerance infuse every aspect of the educational experience. In our diverse and tolerant environment, students feel safe to question the world around them, to develop their curiosity and creativity, and to discover there is more in them than they know.
