Shebbear College in Devon is excited to announce the opening of its brand-new nursery, Little Explorers, for children aged 2 to 4 years, set to welcome its first little adventurers on 28th April 2025. A few spaces are still available for families interested in enrolling.
Nestled within the picturesque, 85-acre campus of Shebbear College, Little Explorers will offer a tranquil, nurturing environment designed to foster curiosity and learning in young children. Located near the Reception class, the nursery will seamlessly integrate into the wider school community, allowing children to enjoy a newly refurbished setting with a strong emphasis on outdoor exploration.
“I am absolutely thrilled about the launch of Little Explorers,” said Lucy Dennis, Head of Shebbear College Prep School. “The response from families has been fantastic, and places are filling up quickly. We’ve had numerous requests from parents for a nursery like this, and I’m excited that we’re able to bring this vision to life.”
She continued, “Shebbear College has always been known for its supportive, nurturing environment, where children grow in confidence. We’re excited to extend that same ethos to Little Explorers. With our stunning 85-acre campus, I truly believe we offer a one-of-a-kind space for pre-school children to explore and develop.”
Focusing on the holistic development of each child, Little Explorers will provide a rich, engaging curriculum taught by specialist teachers in subjects like PE, Music, Art, Dance, Robotics, Environmental Education, and French. This approach will ensure children are well-prepared for the transition into Reception, all while cultivating a love for learning and discovery.
