Are you the School Nurse we are looking for to start in the school year 2025-2026?
Your core tasks will include
- Provide a quality school health service that responds to the needs of both day and boarding students, during the school year and the summer course.
- Respect, develop and adapt the heath service protocols of the school.
- Liaise with different stakeholders, such as external care providers, colleagues and parents.
- Organise and facilitate medical induction for colleagues.
- Review the medical forms of applying students and advise the admissions department.
- Refer students to external providers as appropriate.
- Be proactive in the prevention and early detection of health issues.
- Assist in other tasks related to this role.
Your administrative tasks will include
- Record care given and excused students appropriately.
To be a successful candidate, you should:
- Be a registered nurse.
- Be fluent in English with a working knowledge of French for communication with local health providers.
- Be internationally minded with inter-cultural awareness.
- Have experience working in a school environment with teenagers.
- Be organised and efficient, with basic IT skills.
- Be a great team-player, with a can-do attitude and able to show flexibility in a 24/7 working environment.
- Be tactful and diplomatic when handling sensitive information.
- Be based in the Lausanne area with a valid Swiss working permit, or willing to relocate.
- Be committed to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of young people and adhere to and ensure compliance with the School’s Safeguarding Policy at all times.
Candidates who meet all the requirements will receive a detailed job description and weekly schedule. Remuneration will be related to the qualifications and experience and discussed during the first interview
