BSA Family Guardian Scheme

BSA strongly recommends international students register with BSA Certified Guardians.

However, we appreciate that occasionally family members may be asked to fulfil this role. Typically this person will be the child’s point of contact in the UK for emergencies.

To support schools in their safeguarding duties, including requirements NMS 22.3 (England) and UKVI sponsor duties, BSA operates a BSA Family Guardian Scheme, which will:

  • Run an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Provide online training on the responsibilities of a guardian and an overview of safeguarding responsibilities
  • Issue a certificate confirming the host is a BSA Family Guardian upon completion of the above steps
  • Provide access to ongoing advice and support

The above is priced at £199 +VAT per educational family guardian.
