More and more schools are now appointing inclusion leads. This is a welcome development and an exciting role. Nevertheless, it can be quite daunting and can feel like there is a lot to tackle! This seminar will provide practical step-by-step strategies for inclusion leads and senior leaders to audit, review and develop their school’s EDI strategy. Inclusion should be a whole-school priority. To achieve a culture of inclusion and belonging, key staff to be on board and actively contribute. The session will be interactive so that delegates can share good practice and learn from other professionals.

Gaelle Sullivan, Director of Research, Inclusion and IELA
Gaelle is Director of Research, Inclusion and IELA and joined the BSA in January 2023. She is an experienced senior leader and has worked in a range of state and independent schools. She is a qualified SENCO and holds a Masters Degree in Inclusive Education. Prior to joining the BSA, Gaelle was Deputy Head Pastoral, DSL and Head of Boarding at an all-girls independent school in the South-East.
