BSA’s Boarding box set series is designed for boarding staff and school leaders, giving them a broad overview series of a range of key topics relating to boarding. This series would be ideal for staff moving into senior positions in boarding, preparing for Deputy Headship and consolidating their understanding on the wider sector ‘headlines’.
This session will focus on the marketing and admissions functions within your boarding school. It will provide a strong introduction to the basics of marketing planning and strategy to enable you to drive boarding numbers within your school. Understanding the admissions journey for prospective families will help you scrutinise your processes and improve the customer journey, increasing conversion rates and the brand reputation of your school.

Speaker: Aileen Kane, COO, BSA and BSA Group
Aileen is COO of BSA Group, and the Director of Sacpa (Safeguarding and Child Protection Association). Aileen leads operations at BSA providing guidance and training to member schools and works closely with government departments including DfE, Home Office, DIT, MOD, FCO, local authorities and other agencies to support member schools. She was a board member of the Boarding Schools Partnership group, which aims to place vulnerable children into boarding schools, and heads up BSA’s work to find places for refugee children escaping from conflict countries. A business graduate with over 17 years of marketing and communications experience, Aileen has worked as a head of international marketing in the beauty industry before entering the education sector. She has managed the MAD (Marketing, Admissions, Development) departments at two independent UK schools within SMT/SLT to achieve strategic targets including growth and market awareness. Aileen is also a trustee for a children’s charity.
