Course outline

Where there are fees, there are money laundering risks to be aware of. The potential consequences of being involved in an instance of money laundering may have a severe impact on a fee paying school’s reputation. This webinar will look at money laundering offences and explore how these could impact your school. By the end of the webinar, you will have the knowledge to take reasonable steps to minimise the likelihood of such activities in your setting.

Training topics will include:

  • Underlying principles of money laundering
  • Unusual transactions
  • Procedures to mitigate the risk of financial crime.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identification of red flags
  • What you should do if you suspect you are being asked to accept fees from the proceeds of criminal activity
  • Ensure your school fully understands and is meeting their requirements.
