The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.

We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 – 18,. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders, passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.

Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states ”pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with”.

We seek an outstanding individual for this position available in one of our Boarding Houses. The main function of this post is to be an adult presence in the House and be responsible for the welfare of the students by assisting the Head of House and the House team in the supervision of the health and welfare of the students and the Boarding House – the physical building within which they live.

Suitable applicants should have experience of working with young people in some capacity. You will need to support the Head of House in the day to day running of the Boarding House.

  •  Is proactive, energetic and is generous with their time and responsive to the needs of the students
