Felsted School has now protected 123,281 Trees, just one year into their partnership with the climate action charity One Tribe!
This partnership connects Felsted directly to rainforest protection charities. With every admissions registration, the school directly protects rainforests and the indigenous tribes and biodiversity that call them home.
Each month the funds are distributed by One Tribe to the relevant conservation teams to continue the protection of threatened rainforests. The rainforest charities then fund the vital on-the-ground projects to save and continually protect the land.
So far, Felsted School’s efforts have resulted in 27,756.18 tonnes of carbon stored, 279.24 acres saved, and 16,754.23 car emissions removed!
Rainforests are the lungs of our planet, the natural solution to climate change that removes and stores CO2 from our atmosphere. Therefore by participating in the United Nations Framework for Climate Change to adopt the UN Sustainability Goals, Felsted School are working together as one tribe to help fight climate change together.
The partnership with One Tribe is just one of many initiatives undertaken by Felsted School pupils and staff in an effort to protect the environment and encourage sustainability, including the use of 100% renewable electricity on the school site, as well as compostable coffee cups and plastic-free sanitary products.
