Leweston School atheletes gain championship title at European European Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run Championship in Greece.
Well done to the ten Leweston students that represented Great Britain at the European Biathle, Triathle, Laser Run Championship at Marathon, Greece between 6-9 October.
The events were run over four days with different events on each day plus mixed relays, Day one was the Biathle, Day two Triathle, Day three Biathle and Laser Run mixed relays, Day four Laser Run & Triathle mixed relay. Leweston School athletes had great success with five European Champions, four Mixed relay Gold medals, three Silver medals, and nine Gold team medals.
Leweston School Pentathlon and GB Biathle & Triathle Coach said that the championships were a “great success” for the GB team, and especially the Leweston School athletes that have worked hard in training to prepare for these championships. The next big event for school athletes and the GB team will be the World Biathle & Triathle Championships in Madeira on 27-30 October.

Since September 2016, Leweston has been an active part of Pentathlon GB’s Talent Pathway programme. In the same year the school was awarded Pentathlon Academy status making it one of only nine such academies in the country. In 2020 the school became a designated Pentathlon Talent Hub.
