Exceptional International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma scores achieved by sixth formers at Felsted School in north Essex in 2023 have resulted in the school being named in the top 20 for IB in the country.
Rankings are published by IB-School.eu and Best-Schools.co.uk, which take into account scores achieved by IB Diploma candidates around the world.
There was a 100% IB pass rate at Felsted in 2023, and nearly a third of Felsted’s IB candidates achieved a world-class score of 40 points or more out of a possible 45, which is equivalent to four A*s at A Level. 63% achieved more than 35 points, equivalent to two A*s and one A at A Level. The scores of all Felsted candidates exceeded the global and UK averages: Felsted candidates averaged 36.2 points, while the global average is 30.2 and the UK average is 34.6.
Scoring a remarkable 43 out of 45 points, Felsted’s top two IB achievers in 2023 were Alexandra Carson and Lukas Wacker.
