Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate based in York has been awarded a prestigious RoSPA Award, demonstrating its commitment to health and safety excellence.

Queen Ethelburga’s won two awards – a RoSPA Silver Award and a RoSPA Leisure Safety Silver Award, demonstrating its dedication to ensuring its students, staff and wider Team QE community who all use the school campus every day.

The esteemed RoSPA Awards program now celebrates its 68th year as the UK’s largest and most impactful health and safety programme. As of this year, the RoSPA award entry process can be used as reflective practise to contribute to continuing professional development (CPD).

Representatives from the Collegiate were asked to deliver training on behalf of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) on the back of the accolades, with a focus on Manging Major Incidents in an Educational Setting.

Donna Cranney, Health, Safety and Environment Manager, said: “These two prestigious awards are testament to the commitment here at QE to place safety at the top of the agenda for everyone who works, studies and visits our campus.
