We are extremely lucky at Keswick School to have so many great outdoor activities on our doorstep which the boarders can experience every weekend. This weekend was no exception, when a group of boarders and staff visited Kendal dry ski slope for a skiing lesson. It was the first time for many of our boarders to put on a pair of skis and it is fair to say that they all, absolutely loved it!
We timed this visit a couple of weeks before 6 of our boarders head off on the school ski trip to Italy, and this lesson on a much bigger slope complimented the lessons they have already received on our school’s smaller dry ski slope. For beginners to be able to do this on an outdoor artificial slope before their trip, it will enhance their overall experience and will increase their chances of conquering blue and even red runs in their first week.
If you would like your child to have a different activity experience each week in a state boarding school with an outstanding Ofsted rating in school and boarding, then please contact Mrs Pepper at boarding@keswick.cumbria.sch.uk to have a chat.
