UWC Atlantic has a vision to Transform Education just as we did over 60 years ago when we founded the United World Colleges movement to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.

Our ambition at UWC Atlantic is to develop “bridge builders and compassionate leaders, empowering them to go beyond treating symptoms to understand root causes and initiate transformative solutions to human and environmental crises.”

In 2023, UWC Atlantic launched a 10-year vision to address the modern-day challenges faced by humanity and to help transform the structures that have taken us to climate and ecological breakdown, social injustice, and inequality. This vision, “Transformative Education for Global Impact” positions the college as a pioneer within the education world, including an innovative new educational pathway called the Systems Transformation Pathway: Leadership for Just Futures developed in partnership with the International Baccalaureate.

By choosing UWC Atlantic you will be part of an engaged community of 350 students aged 16 – 18 from over 90 different countries. Our co-educational boarding school is based in the UK and set within 122 acres of farmland, with its own seafront where the Rigid Inflatable Boat was developed and a 12th-century castle – a unique campus with a unique curriculum.

Our students study the two-year International Baccalaureate educational experience alongside afternoons and weekends of experiential learning based on the principles of our founder Kurt Hahn.
