Set in a breath-taking valley just a mile from the World Heritage City of Bath, our Senior School has a world-wide reputation as one of the best small Christian boarding and day schools in the UK. Home to just under 400 boarders and day pupils aged 13 -18, there are three ingredients about life at Monkton that really sums us up! Firstly, our pastoral care is paramount and there is a very special sense of community and family for boarders and day pupils alike, which is underpinned by a strong focus on the Christian faith. Secondly, our support and encouragement for every pupil as they develop academically, emotionally and socially at their own pace and grasp all the opportunities available to them. Our pupils have a real sense of their own worth, they learn to respect the gifts and talents of fellow pupils, looking beyond themselves with a commitment to have a positive impact on the world by serving the needs of others. And lastly, but by no means least, our dynamic and forward-thinking vision for Monkton is celebrated in our new facilities and infrastructure, through the application and implementation of proven and progressive teaching methods and ideas, and through an ambitious programme of development which is geared to the needs of every pupil.
Monkton Combe School is set in beautiful countryside just a mile from the World Heritage City of Bath. We have 3 sites that are just a mile apart and all of them share stunning locations, grounds and facilities. Our Senior School lies in the heart of the village of Monkton Combe. Nestling in the Midford Valley it is surrounded by rolling hills and woodland. Our Longmead Cricket ground lies near the famous Dundas aqueduct and has been voted into the top 3 most picturesque cricket grounds in the country by Wisden! Our Prep school can be found a mile up the hill and has the most impressive views over rolling countryside. Our all weather hockey pitch and mini golf course make this a fine sporting venue!
