Plymouth College is based in the maritime city of Plymouth with the moorland, countryside and coastal landscapes of Devon and Cornwall close to hand. The co-educational school has been at the forefront of education in South West England since 1877. Good teaching, with a variety of activities and a high standard of care, underpins our educational aims. You can see the success in this approach through our GCSE and A Level results, which are consistently above the national average. Enrichment is part of the fabric of life at the school. Each year we run more than 70 after school clubs and activities including sports, outward bound, music, drama and business competitions. With pupils from all over the world, the boarding houses are run by an enthusiastic, experienced and friendly team who are responsible for all aspects of boarding pupils’ welfare. There is also a good mix of activities for boarders at the weekends including ten-pin bowling, ice-skating, cinema trips, surfing, moorland walking and horse riding.
