Set in 100 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, we combine academic excellence with a wide range of co-curricular activities and outstanding individual pastoral care.
The environment, ethos and opportunities we offer allow every student to discover talents and interests – be that intellectual, sporting or creative.
Our students are encouraged to believe in themselves, to challenge themselves both in school and beyond, and to grow into confident, successful individuals.
We enable students, whatever their ability, to achieve qualifications that exceed their expectations. A broad and balanced curriculum delivers a challenging education that is rewarding and enjoyable.
Individual attention and highly qualified staff encourage students not to fear making mistakes, but to learn from them and push their boundaries.
Students develop good learning habits during their time at Princess Helena College and leave as intellectually curious adults who are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to be leaders in their chosen fields.
Community, care and fun are at the heart of the Boarding House. Students are able to form lifelong friendships within the diverse community of UK and international boarders. The boarding staff are dedicated to providing a safe, happy and caring environment in which all boarders are able to grow and flourish.
Boarders live in the main school building and enjoy spacious rooms with scenic views of our beautiful grounds. Highly experienced house staff deliver excellent pastoral care and create a supportive community for our boarders, so that boarding truly feels like a home away from home. Our Boarding House offers a range of options including full, weekly and occasional boarding.
Each weekend there are different trips and activities such as rock climbing, go karting and laser tag. With London and Cambridge so close, boarders are able to experience a wealth of culture, from art galleries to West End shows. There are also a range of activities on offer during the week: movie nights, book club, exercise in the fitness suite and swimming pool, painting and trips to Hitchin and further afield.
